The Maldives is located on the equator so naturally ,the weather in the Maldives is consistent with any other country that enjoys an equatorial climate. There are very different and distinct seasons, the South West, monsoon season which is referred to as the ‘wet season’ or “halhangu”, and the North East monsoon season know as the dry season or “iruvai”.
