Escape to the ultimate exclusive honeymoon destination, the Maldives.
The Maldives is a stunningly beautiful country made up of nearly 1200 islands. This ’Robinson Crusoe’ paradise destination is considered by many to be the most romantic honeymoon destinations on the planet.
In December 2007 it was voted the ‘World’s Most Romantic Destination’ at the annual World Travel Awards. It’s no wonder that so many couples choose to honeymoon in Maldives.
The Romantic atolls of the enchanting Maldives offer unrivalled scenery, picture postcard white sand beaches and some of the clearest water anywhere in the world. The numerous stunning ‘hotel’ rooms perched on stilts above the water out in the ‘mill pond’ calm ocean, are regarded as among the most picturesque and exotic accommodation locations to be found anywhere.
Many newlyweds choose to honeymoon in inclusive Maldives hideaways to get away from everything and everybody. A honeymoon maldives package can provide the ultimate escape from everyday bustle found in so many other resorts around the world.
Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes chose to honeymoon in Maldives when they were married. And apparently according to Katie, there was nowhere else on their list.
The Maldives, sits on the equator around 500 Kms south of the tip of India. Because of its stunning isolation, it has developed totally independently with its own culture and traditions. Although it’s fair to say it has been influenced by other cultures of the Middle East, India, and the British.
Although remote, the islands are easily reached from airports around the world, linking to the country’s international airport which is located in the capital Male.
The country offers a wide range of resorts and other types of hotel accommodation, so it is sure that you will be able to find your ideal honeymoon bolt hole. Many hotels and resorts are pleased to offer honeymoon inclusive Maldives holidays to suit all age groups and all budgets.
Accommodation, in all price ranges is considered to be of a good quality compared to other similar destinations. When you are not tucked away in your hotel or luxury Oceanside ‘hut’ there are many attractions and things to do on this little slice of heaven.
Those that choose to honeymoon in Maldives are often water sports enthusiasts. As the atolls of the Maldives are world famous for all kinds of water sports activities including windsurfing, sailing, parasailing and waterskiing. Perhaps the water sports most suited to the island’s are scuba-diving and snorkeling. The region’s incredibly clear, warm waters offer limitless possibilities for those wishing to enjoy on the water sightseeing at its very best.
A honeymoon Maldives package can offer incredibly good value for money, and an unforgettable romantic escape to a different world. If you are searching for the ultimate destination, you will not find a more romantic place on the planet to experience your Maldives honeymoon.

Hi John,
Well, if you would like to see more sun then you should plan your vacation between say December and April. This is known as the dry season in the Maldives. However, as with most holiday destinations it is also the busiest and therefore the resort and hotel prices are the highest. Of course, this also spans across the Xmas/New year period which is always more expensive and very busy.
To get back to your original question, the least crowded and cheapest period is between about May and November. If you don’t mind putting up with higher humidity and a greater chance of rain, then this is the time to visit to avoid the crowds. Dont get me wrong, its still warm as the current temp in Male today is 30c.
Hope this helps, if there is anything else I can help with, just contact me.
Regards,
Muz.

There is hardly any variance in air and water temperatures, year round in the Maldives.
The northeast monsoon begins in January, lasting only until March. This is the warm as opposed to hot season of weather in the Maldives; the reason for this is that the Maldives are a string of small islands that are surrounded on all sides by the ocean.
So days that should in theory, be unbearably hot, are very often tempered by near constant sea breeze that brings a fresh, cooling action to the land.
The wet season starts in May and runs through until November, it is at its height in the June to August period and can produce torrential rains. Very severe weather, such as cyclones and tropical storms are rare in the Maldives area.
Consequently, the Northern islands generally experienced higher temperatures, with less sporadic showers.
December to April are considered the best to visit the islands when the weather in the Maldives is at its most pleasant. With lots of sunshine every day, beautiful skies and constant breezes keeping the temperature very compatible for tourist activities.
Average temperatures across the islands vary very little throughout the year, ranging from around 23° up to a maximum of 32°, the average hovering around the 30° mark throughout the year.
If you are not used to the sort of tropical climates experienced by the Maldives weather, it may be difficult to comprehend that although rain is frequent and occasionally heavy, a large part of the time this rain takes the form of very quick downpours, although some of these can be torrential. They often only last a few minutes and the sun quickly dries out its effects. There is a saying that you “cannot have paradise without rain”, and the Maldives qualify on both counts.
So Jenny, in September you can expect some rain but temperatures will also be warm and being a honeymoon Im sure you will be enjoying yourself no matter what the weather is.
If you require any assistance in booking your honeymoon or finding a suitable resort let me know or you can find a great range of accommodaton by following this link http://www.realadventures.com/accommodations-resorts.htm?A=3302 and doing a search on Asia then Maldives. The link to real adventures is also located at the bottom of this page. If I don’t speak to you beforehand have a great time.

Hi Rima,
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. At the end of September it is still in the wet season but hopefully the torrential rains will have eased. It will still be wet however the temperatures will be warm. I’m sure a bit of rain will not stop you enjoying the beautiful Maldives.

Hi Parul,
Congratulations firstly on your upcoming wedding and you have certainly chosen a beautiful destination. As far as accommodation goes for your honeymoon there are obviously choices either on the male itself or on one of the islands. I suppose it comes down to personal preference. You will find the majority of the resorts will cater for all your needs, the main thing is to look for a resort with a good rating. I have mentioned a few on this site and they will all cater for your needs. If you click on the yellow banner at the bottom of the page and then click on hotels and resorts down the left side of that page then click on Asia then click on Maldives. You will find a number of resorts there which are all of high quality and are recommended.
I am sure you will have a wonderful time there and don’t forget to let us know what it was like when you get back. Feedback is always appreciated.
